ENGAGEMENTS
Photography that encapsulates who you really are as a couple. Whether you like to read, dance, go for a drink. We’re ready to capture a piece of history.

When this engaged couple asked us to fly out to New York City to capture them in Central Park, we were excited to oblige. New York is a gem of a city and has so many amazing photo locations. This one from Central Park under the arches by the fountains is one of our favourites.
The laughter and pure connection between two people is what drives us to pick up our cameras. These two were so nervous about having their portraits taken prior to the shoot. When we got there, we worked together to embrace the awkwardness of the engagement session and pulled the focus back to having fun together. The results were timeless photos of them having so much fun together.
We love that often we only have to tell our engaged couples to be cute together and they can just take it from there. Offering difference perspectives while you be you is the best. You get to be you, and we get to be creative. This is a win-win situation for our wedding clients. This vintage truck in the distillery district gets moved around quite a bit and always offers a great prop for portraits.
We adore the at home engagement sessions. We welcome when clients invite us into their homes to capture the intimacy they share as a couple.
That dress! Seriously it is absolutely beautiful. We loved the colour and the way it flowed in the wind. This engaged couple didn't seem to notice the crowd of people waiting inline to get their photos taken in front of Tiffany Falls, they could only see each other in this moment.
Sometimes we are in the middle of saying goodby to a client and a scene reveals itself. This is exactly what happened at this engagement session. The bags were in the car and we looked back and saw this shed open with the tractor perfectly lit. All we need to do was add a little more lighting and reach back into the car for the cameras.
When a clients says, "I have this really cool car that we can use for a photo", our minds are already racing to think of all the different ways we can add the romance to a vintage car. If you look closely, you can even see the heart shape his elbow created to complete this engagement portrait.
We are starting to get a reputation for our smoke bomb photography. Hamilton has a few cool castles. The doors with the orange smoke bomb really had the blue dress pop. We love it when you tell us what you're wearing before the shoot so we can bring elements that will make it pop.
It was a way to encapsulate the love they already shared with each other and their fur baby. We love it when you incorporate your pets into your engagement session.
We wanted to incorporate this engaged couples story and likes together. They both are avid readers and really enjoy being outside together-romantic picnic anyone?
As we were walking by this tree in High Park, we noticed the way the leaves dropped and created a natural framing. All we needed to do was add in the happy couple.
Just throw the leaves and kiss. It can create these beautiful moments of connection along with the leaves falling in around them. It's also super fun and we all can't stop giggling as we capture the nature fun of Fall. It kind of makes you feel like a kid again.
This couple had known each other for years. Being the best of friends before they realized their love for one another. The look on her face as he played the piano for her is absolutely adorable.
We had wrapped up this Nashville song writer's branding shoot and met up at the bar together for a drink. We couldn't resist capturing the love and absolute cuteness of this couple while we were chilling at one of their favourite spots in Toronto-Seoul Shakers.
Sometimes we ask you to dip, sometimes you just dip on our own and our hearts burst with excitement. Extra points for this bride to be as she rocked those stunning heels all around the Distillery District in Toronto.
Yes please to frozen waterfalls in Hamilton and outdoor winter engagements. They are fun and so different!
Sitting on the logs by Sherman Waterfalls in Ancaster without a care in the world. These two forgot we were even there as they just focused on what was important-each other.
We love walking shots. We encourage our wedding and engagement clients to just have fun and not look at the camera. The results are always natural and beautiful.
One of the reasons we love engagement sessions is that it gives us the time to play and create from different perspectives. The focus is just on the two of you and your connection. There's no dinner or reception to rush off to. It gets to be about the two of you and your story together.
Sometimes we create falling leaves, sometimes it naturally happens and we just go with it. The colours of the Fall and the natural beauty of Apple Orchards gives us a great venue to create timeless images.
Did we mention we love getting creative with lighting. Bringing off camera flash can help us really create a mood for your engagement session and incorporate the warmth between two people-even if its cold outside.
The famous Distillery District heart from a different perspective. We wanted to capture it in a way that wasn't common and to frame our clients with it in an original way.
Yes please to more engagement shoots with your furry friends. The picturesque background of Bronte Creek Provincial park and the natural smile of the dogs face were the perfect compliment to this already gorgeous engagement session.
We love it when the dog stares at us while the couple kisses. We can't even tell you why, we just imagine all the things that must be running through his head while we are sitting under the gazebo in Victoria Park.
We love going wherever you want to go for your engagement session. This couple loved going to Dave and Busters and playing games together. Of course we were a yes to incorporating the extra location into their engagement session.
The bride to be quickly jumped on the grooms back and he so effortlessly carried her. One of my favourite moments is that after this shot, she turned to him and said, "ok my turn," and proceeded to pick him up and give him a piggy back ride.
when you and your partner of just dipping at the end of the pier and a bunch of pigeons fly down to watch. We love it when birds make themselves known during a portrait session
The moment before you kiss is always one of the most romantic to us. We love capturing the intimacy and romance by silhouetting the couple and taking advantage of the gorgeous sky.
